Describe the role of approach and avoidance motivation in the concept of “grit”, and in your own experiences. Think of school and your career, especially!
Does the actual order of Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs seem accurate to you? If so, why? If not, what would you change? Give a personal example with your explanation.
We can agree that all three needs outlined by self-determination theory are important, but which is MOST important for achieving mental health and happiness? Support your answer with an example.
In what ways have you seen behavior modification used in your life? Have you experienced it at school? At home? To alter habits or relationship patterns? Share your example.
