NOTICE: This assignment is based on two readings and is due in two weeks from now. This assignment could be extended to the second page. You are expected to start working on your draft and keep editing it while attending the Plenary lectures and our class next Thursday. 
Reading from ”  Computing machinery and intelligence” by Alan Turing; ”  Minds, Brains and Programs” (allegory of the Chinese Room)  by  John Searle. 
 
The assignment question:   

  Strong Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the claim that computers can think. Describe Searle’s Chinese room thought experiment and explain why it presents an objection to Strong AI. What would Turing reply to Searle?
