In your paper try to establish patterns of images to help support the points you are making. Look at both the denotations and connotations of words. Discuss the images, metaphors, similes, etc. Look, too, for any allusions that might help flesh out the meaning of the poem. How do sound and rhythm support the experience of the poem? Try to avoid reliance on process or summary. And dont let the disposition, or order of the poem itself, be the basis for the organization of your essay.
