Question: Why socialism? As we have seen in class, many social thinkers believed that socialism is the best foundation for organizing society and its economy. However, different people could espouse very different understandings of what socialism is and why it is superior to other forms of social and economic organization. Discuss, using the writings by Sidney Webb, George Orwell, and Albert Einstein, and drawing on Smalldone and lecture for historical context

Requirement: write a 5-6 page typed, double-spaced paper (not counting title page and endnotes page) based solely on assigned readings and lectures. Remember to place the works you discuss in their historical context. In other words, think chronologically

Each section in the notes and bibliography style shows you how to cite something if its used in a footnote/endnote (simply called Note here), e.g. a book, edited volume, journal article, etc Dont confuse the notes citation with the bibliographic citation
