For your Midterm, you are to write an essay on the Silk Road trade network. Specifically, you are focusing on how the Romans and Han Chinese utilized the trade connections throughout Silk Road and how they interacted with one another and other peoples and polities. Your essay must be constructed as an argumentative essay. Namely, you are to present your central position (i.e. thesis) on this question and provide evidence that backs up your arguments.

You are to answer the following question:

Did the Romans and Han Chinese truly dominate the Silk Road system? Why or why not?

The essay must be 2-3 pages in length, double-spaced, 12-point font, and in Times New Roman. (100 Points Total)
