Subsistence

Eating is of course a physical need: without food, there is no survival. But it is much more than simply “eating”. Remember when we said that culture is “all encompassing” and “learned”? Well, all the activities surrounding food, and food itself, are profoundly cultural.

Describe an example of how your culture (any culture) shapes subsistence for you or someone you know. Think about what we eat/when we eat/with whom/using what to help you think about it. Remember to comment on at least two of your classmates’ posts.
