Have at least one concrete example in your answer
1) we’ve been surrounded by the quarantine and COVID-19 pandemic. We’ve also learned a long list of social struggles around different issues: race, class, gender, technology, health. For this question, I want you to pick one of the social struggles that we’ve talked about in the course, and investigate how it affected (or was affected by) the COVID-19 pandemic. Please consider the impact of globalization or global differences when you answer this! (The most recent week’s readings will help here.) You can bring in examples from your own life, from the news, from the course, from other courses, or really anywhere else – but be specific! *****ATTACHMENT IS THE READINGS
2) Every social problem in this class is a form of inequality. In the last week of the class, I considered how all problems (and therefore all inequalities) are actually global. For this question, I want you to pick a form of inequality that we talked about in this class (e.g. one of the weekly modules) and investigate how it is a global issue. Things you could do: consider how the inequality is different in different countries. OR, you could consider how global forces and pressures (i.e. globalization) affect or cause the inequality.
