1) we’ve been surrounded by the quarantine and COVID-19 pandemic. We’ve also learned a long list of social struggles around different issues: race, class, gender, technology, health. For this question, I want you to pick one of the social struggles that we’ve talked about in the course, and investigate how it affected (or was affected by) the COVID-19 pandemic. Please consider the impact of globalization or global differences when you answer this! (The most recent week’s readings will help here.) 2) Every social problem in this class is a form of inequality. In the last week of the class, I considered how all problems (and therefore all inequalities) are actually global. For this question, I want you to pick a form of inequality that we talked about in this class (e.g. one of the weekly modules) and investigate how it is a global issue. Things you could do: consider how the inequality is different in different countries. OR, you could consider how global forces and pressures (i.e. globalization) affect or cause the inequality.
