Students will be expected to identify a news story pertaining to their social policy of interest that coincides with the course portfolio assignment.  The news story should come from reputable sources or blogs.  Students will write a brief reflection essay, no more than one page covering the story,  discussing the main viewpoint,  how it is relevant to their social policy of interest, and include applicable course content to solidify an overall general point.

Students are to follow APA 7th edition guidelines when completing this assignment.  The news story article should be cited correctly based on APA 7th edition guidelines.    Additionally,  this assignment has a 300 word minimum.
