This journal should be submitted when you have completed your preceptor hours and should include all of the outlined requirements which include:
A brief overview of what your experiences have been-25 points possible
A reflection on how those experiences are helping prepare you for your role as a new graduate nurse- Think of the guiding principles of Compassion, Caring, and Competence – 25 points possible
A reflection of how you are accomplishing your objectives your outlined at the beginning – 25 points possible
A summary of what has been positive and what you still need to work on as far as accomplishing your objectives – 25 points possible

Note: I did my preceptor in a medsurg/oncology unit. I learned how to give oral, IV push, and antibiotic medications, checking accucheck, documentations, giving report to the nurses, and getting reports from emergency nurse for a patient. Thank you.
