I’ve uploaded the literature review written for this, i originally wanted to do an ethnographic study to gain as much understanding of LGBT+ individuals as possible but due to COVID, research must be conducted online. i briefly considered doing a digital ethnography using social media but this raised ethical issues, especialy if not everyone in groups consented or if i decided to do my study covertly as first planned. so the methodology is semi structured interviews and this chapter must also explain the strengths and weakness of being conducted over a videoplatform such as zoom.. such as being able to make notes on body language as well as their words and the ability to record. i’m using semi structured interviews so i am not limiting participants recounting of experiences whilst still having some structure to compare experiences of participants. please include as many sources when discussing the strengths and weakness of these methodologies and why semi structured interviews are the best option as possible.
