Describe the Lost Cause Narrative and give reasons you believe southerners needed this version of the Civil War after their defeat.  What do we see today that is a reminder of the Confederacy and the people who led it?  Do you think Confederate monuments or Confederate battle flags belong on public property?  Why or why not?  What solution do you think would satisfy both sides of this debate?
