Leaders must not only be self-aware, they must be aware of others, and aware of the world out there. The Presentation is to be on a current social or global issue requiring leadership. The aim of your presentation is (a) to raise a social or global issue, (b) persuade your audience to see its importance, (c) articulate a leadership call to action to move others in the world out there to help resolve this issue. Your audience in this presentation are your instructor and peers in this class. Examples of topics include environmental problems, Canadian or global politics, famine, refugees, homelessness, human trafficking, abortion, aboriginal land rights, child poverty, medical assistance in dying/euthanasia, etc. Alternatively, select a social issue specific to leadership practice, for example, diversity and inequality in leadership as characterized by differences in gender, sexuality, and race/ethnicity.
