This week, you will submit your topic proposal for your informative speech.
The goals of an informative speech include:
-Build an audiences understanding and awareness by imparting knowledge.
-Provide listeners with new information, new ideas, or new ways of thinking about a topic.
Be sure that your topic is appropriate for your audience (academic setting) and the time frame you are allotted for your speech (57 minutes).

In your proposal, provide the following:
A summary of your topic and your level of familiarity with it
A general purpose statement (the goal of the speech)
A specific purpose statement (your topic/thesis)
The central idea
Two potential details or examples that support your ideas (at least one scholarly support)
Your paper should be 1-2 pages and follow APA style and format.
