Unpack a specific food systems policy
Write about a “heroic” or otherwise impactful individual or organization within the realm of food systems, past or present
Contextualize your own experience within the food systems landscape — what historical, environmental, sociopolitical, and systemic factors have contributed to your journey with food?
You may wish to start by brainstorming food system topics that are of interest. Are you motivated to write a visionary paper about future food systems? Do you wish to learn from and critique existing policies or programs? Do you wish to draw on your own experiences? Be sure to balance personal reflections with citable ideas and research; ground your insights within existing literature.
Your final submission should be in the form of a complete paper, with an introduction, distinct sections, a conclusion, and references. Make your paper more readable with titles and subtitles to delineate different sections, complete sentences, and a cohesive writing style throughout. P
