The personal IMC is due in the Assignments section. This is a thoughtful and careful analysis of your own SWOT that can lead to your introduction as a professional or e-resume.

Begin with a personal SWOT analysis (you may use the posted matrix in the documents section) and try including all elements of the IMC. The goal is an interesting resume that includes past work, videos, links, quotes from recommendations, etc. The SWOT analysis is for you, not necessarily for sharing with potential employers, but it will help you to find convincing arguments that make you stand out from other applicants as well as areas that need improvement or additional work.

Following the guidelines in the announcements and lecture documents, submit you personal IMC. Includes the analysis (SWOT) and the information you would share with a potential employer.

Think USP, or unique selling proposition. You may also include links to videos or other materials you wish to share with a potential employer.
This personal IMC can be seen as an analysis of the strengths you have vis a vis other applicants when applying for work,  or as a basis for a resume.
The executive summary is placed at the beginning but should be written after the analysis has been done. It can be written in the third person, for example “Recent graduate experienced in  (editing, social media, graphics, etc.)…..
PR elements can include volunteer work and participation in charitable organizations.
Testimonials can include the first sentence and name of the most important recommendation writers.
This analysis should make the basis for a resume that stands out from the rest of the applicants.
