This week you will be reading two different Peer-Reviewed articles in preparation for your discussion. It is also recommended, but not required that you also read Chapter 2 in Dr. Erber’s textbook. The idea behind this week’s readings is to expose you to the various Research Methodologies used in Applied Gerontology.

Please read both articles carefully and take note of how different these articles are, but also in the fact that they both place close attention to aging and workforce issues. In Dr. Erber’s chapter, you will note the various methodologies used in aging research: experimental, quasi-experimental, multi-factor, and descriptive (within descriptive, there are various methodologies used).

For this week’s discussion, make sure to discuss the research methodology used in at least one of the two articles read. Pay attention to how the methodology allows the author to capture the aging workforce issues. In addition, respond to at least one of your colleague’s postings.
