Imagine yourself shipwrecked on a deserted island with 2 of the characters or authors we’ve looked at this semester. You have some choices to make:
1. What character or author from this semester’s readings would you keep on the island to help you survive? Survival can be defined any way you want it, but be sure to explain your choice for this answer.
2. Which author or character from a story would you kick off the island, knowing they will not survive, and why?
Format: Failure to adhere to any of these formatting procedures will result in the loss of points from your assignment.
Use a Word document, which you will upload to the appropriate Dropbox on eLearn in either a .doc, .docx, or .rtf format.
Word length: at least 500 words. If your response does not meet the length requirement, your grade will automatically be reduced by 5 points.
Include Works Cited listing with the works from the anthology. HINT: scroll to A Work in an Anthology, Reference, or Collection for the proper way to cite the poems and stories we will be reading.
Use proper MLA citation and formatting. Responses not using proper MLA format will be deducted 5 points automatically. If you need assistance, ask me or you may also visit Purdue Online Writing Lab (OWL).
