Define your project in terms of arguments and views that you basically agree with. In your analysis, consider ways in which the authors you might reasonably be criticized and then attempt to strengthen the authors argument by showing how these criticisms can be met. If you choose this technique, do not consider criticisms that the author actually responds to in the context of the essay (unless you think that the author has failed to consider the objections effectively).
