1.Writing a Content Analysis Report
This is a report not an essay. It should be concise and to the point.
Section A: Introduction
The introduction will consist of an overview of the topic being written about in the Report as well as the Independent Variables and Dependent Variables in the Exactitudes Project you are working with. Be sure to give some background and explain what the Exactitudes Project is. And tell the reader why the topic you are studying provides insights into understanding the approach taken by Ari Versluis and Uyttenbroek to track trends in fashion.
Section B: Methodology
In this section, you will provide an outline of the methodology you used to collect the data and model it. Explain what a content analysis is. (Dont assume that the reader will know this.)
Section C: Research Findings
Write up a summary of your key findings. Use the bar chart and pie charts to illustrate the relationships of the Independent Variables and Dependent Variables you are studying. Based on the relative numbers of times each Independent Variable affects each Dependent Variable, explain which Independent Variables are most (and least) powerful in the particular trends in fashion that Versluis and Uyttenbroek have spotted. DO NOT INCLUDE YOUR EXCEL SHEET QUANTA in your Report! (Dont expect the reader to do your work which is to summarize your quanta into findings from which you will draw conclusions.)
Section D: Conclusions
Draw conclusions about what you have discovered from doing this content analysis. Tell us what your findings lead you to believe about the approach taken by Versluis and Uyttenbroek to track style trends in the Netherlands and other countries. Remember to focus entirely on what your findings tell you about trends. No other research is needed for this report.
