cognitive

A teacher at Norman North (High School) is having a terrible time teaching his students. He has heard about your new company, Cognitive Concepts, and has hired you to write a manual for use by his students that will improve their cognitive performance (help them remember more, make better decisions, improve their reasoning and problem solving, etc.). Prepare a set of five different principles or helpful hints (taken from five different domains / chapters) for use by his students. Write the principles in a language the students can understand, but for each of these principles, include a research summary that justifies and supports the usefulness of the principle (i.e., empirical evidence).

Support your answers with studies and examples. For most of the questions, I am NOT looking for your opinion.
Make sure you answer the question!!! If the question asks for an example, give that. If empirical support is requested, describe experimental results (and cite the study if possible). If it is not clear what is requested, assume that experimental results are desired (or clarify with me). Are existing theoretical positions requested or your own viewpoint? Does the question ask about what one model posits or about the true state of the world?
