Create a Monthly Financial plan by using the excel sheet in the cengage MindTap book or going to page 37 in the text.  Ideally, you should use your own financial information. The assignment is most effective if you use your actual income and expenses, but if you are a dependent then ask your guardian or partner what the bills looks like so you can get an idea of what cost of living is for you. Please note that the actual financial information is not shared with anyone (you do not submit it), but is used to help prepare you for the reflective paper.
Once you have done that, write a 2 page reflective paper discussing the importance of financial literacy and what surprised you about the exercise. See the rubric for how points are broken down and the paper critera below:
Use 2-3 of the following questions: Are you budgeting well or poorly? Why is it important to understand your personal finances, especially your financial aid? Are you using aid and do you plan to attend a four year university after LCCC? If so, how are you preparing for it?
Use 1-2 tips: Find tips in the book (hard text page 36-42, ebook 1-6b through 1-6d) to help figure out how you can increase your chances of financial success and pick one that will help you be better with money.
Make sure to include your name on your paper!!
