Black and Blue

In Black and Blue, Garnette Cadogan organizes his essay, in part, around a comparison between the experience of walking the streets in America (New Orleans and New York) and walking the streets in Jamaica (Kingston). Write an essay in which you identify the key differences between the two experiences that Cadogan emphasizes and analyze how Cadogan uses these differences to make a larger argument about what it means to navigate public space as a black man.
