Working thesis: While there are many obstacles in providing eco-friendly housing to the American general public, the largest of these issues are funding, governmental interference, and a reluctant public.
Topic sentence outline:
1) To begin, developers are not keen on building green homes because the reduction of utility costs does not help the company’s bottom line, as those costs are absorbed by the homeowners in increased energy expenditure.
2) In addition, the American government has, and continues to, make it difficult for eco-friendly housing initiatives to be enacted through bureaucratic red tape.
3) Finally, there is public reluctance against adopting green solutions, stemming from a combination of apathy, general lack of understanding of green practices, and the belief of having to sacrifice personal comfort in order to have an eco home.
all of that is flexible, but this is where I’m at so far.
