A1. Financial Statement Analysis – Group Project: Using the Bloomberg system, and/or other internet
(www.sec.gov)  a group of 4 students per team should obtain financial reports data
of minimum two firms in the same industry with the same fiscal year-end and using an Excel
spreadsheet to conduct relevant ratio analyses for (1) liquidity, (2) profitability, (3) activity and (4)
solvency. The team will then compare the sample firms performance in terms of horizontal analysis
and vertical analysis as well.
