    Discuss in adequate detail how each womans case contributed to new laws in California surrounding battered women who kill their abuser.
    Discuss your ideas about and reactions to these cases and the new laws they led to. Specifically:
o    After reading the cases of Marva Wallace and Brenda Aris, do you agree with the laws that were passed in defense of battered women? Explain, discussing the legal changes and specific information, facts, from the article (the cases).
o    And, based on what you are leaning so far, what do you think still needs to change regarding the legal defense of battered women who kill, in California–and nationally?
