Any topic (writer’s choice)

The goal of this exercise is to practice systematic observation. Choose a population that would be easy for you to observe unobtrusively. Examples include children at play, students in class, persons in a restaurant, etc. Develop a group of behaviors that interest you. Develop a chart and a method by which to record your observations in a systematic way. Note the difficulties in observation that you experience while conducting this exercise.

Discuss the populations you observed and difficulties you experienced in conducting the study in this Reflective Observation Exercise forum.
