Please watch the following short film clip about one of the most famous experiments in social psychology, the Stanford Prison Experiment. Although the experiment could never be repeated for reasons of ethics and safety, it did give researchers some unique insight into the inner workings of human beings. Consider it in light of the lecture and textbook material on roles and relationships. Think of another situation involving roles and relationships in U.S. society that this experiment sheds light on.
