Critical Writing:

    You MUST engage with the literature. You must READ.
    Your knowledge of the subject will rely upon your engagement with the literature. Your ability to demonstrate your knowledge of the subject will require you to critically analyse the relevant literature.

    Being thoughtful, asking questions, not taking what you read (or hear) at face value;
    Finding information and understanding different approaches and using them in your writing.
    It is not simply a way of writing, it is a mind-set.
    When you study research, you need to think critically about the quality of the evidence, and the way studies were carries out.
    The conclusions are only as good as the methods

Guidelines for the assignment
    The purpose of this assignment is to allow me to demonstrate my ability to research by reviewing appropriate academic literature and your understanding of the course concepts/theories and their application. It also underpins your abilities to continue improve and develop your own skills and abilities.

    Information gleaned from the library and textbooks etc, should be used and clearly referenced in the main body of your answers. These should also be placed in your Reference section.

    Diagrams may be used within your answers and these should also be suitably credited for appropriate inclusion and usage.
