Confirmation bias can oftentimes creep into search language (like when you look for an article that says a specific thing while eliminating those that are not; e.g. “ineffectiveness of masks to prevent spread of covid 19” as a google search shows a clear bias towards information that confirms that masks are ineffective) as well as where we look for information. How is confirmation bias a barrier to looking for information as a college student?
