This milestone assignment focuses on the Drawing Connections and Relevance portions of your final project. For your final project you will address a Professional
Nursing Practice Issue. You will continue to use the Issue that you chose in Milestone One.
In this section, you will begin to make connections between the issue and different aspects of healthcare. You will be connecting the issue to the legal, licensure,
and ethical aspects of nursing. You will also look at the effects that the issue has on overall healthcare and patient care outcomes. It is important to incorporate
any faculty feedback from the milestones into the final issue paper assignment.
Prompt: You will submit a Word document using the literature that you reviewed in Milestone Two and additional scholarly resources as needed. Your
submission should address the following items:
1. Provide a comprehensive review of the literature that notes common themes and/or differing views of the issue.
2. Analyze the issue for its legal implications and its effect on nursing licensure. Use resources and examples to substantiate your statements.
3. Assess the issue for its ethical implications. Use resources and examples to substantiate your statements.
4. Analyze the effects of the issue on overall healthcare delivery. Some examples include: concerns about finances, the health of personnel, employee
